Radio Taxis Group offer a one stop shop for ground transportation needs.

History
Radio Taxis was formed in 1953 by a group of six independent licensed taxi drivers.
The increasing availability of telephones in the early 1950s was responsible for a change in the market that would have a tremendous effect on the future of the taxi trade. In the earlier part of the decade, you had to walk to the nearest taxi rank, or hope a passing cab could be flagged down in the street. This inconvenience led to the pioneers of Radio Taxis identifying and filling a gap in the market; a door-to-door personal transport service initiated simply by a telephone call.
The idea generated, on average, three thousand annual telephone requests throughout the 1960s. This figure more than doubled as the company approached the 1970s. After nearly forty years of voice dispatch, Radio Taxis reached the peak of its capability and the best course of action was to join the Information Technology revolution. With a computer in every cab and the ability to dispatch infinite amounts of work, Radio Taxis became the most efficient player in the London market.
By the end of the 1990s the technology became dated. The move was made to satellite technology and GPS (Global Positioning System). This enabled Radio Taxis to track vehicles at any given time in any location. With this technology the company was able to save time and increase efficiency by automatically dispatching the closest taxi to a pick-up address.
The journey for Radio Taxis has gone from a humble voice dispatch system to an advanced GPS data dispatch. Technology is moving at high speeds and for this reason the future looks exciting and limitless for Radio Taxis, especially as the Internet is essential in the business world and has no boundaries.
