Radio Taxis Group offer a one stop shop for ground transportation needs.

On Tuesday 31st July 2007, Radio Taxis Group launched the world’s first bio-fuel created specifically for taxis, in a ceremony with the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, at City Hall. Called E3, the bio-diesel has been developed in partnership with UK based company, Infinitum Energy, and is a 30% blend of UK grown oil seed rape and standard ultra-low sulphur diesel.
Extensive trials over 18 months leading up to the launch have shown that E3 delivers a 7 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions, a 4.7 per cent reduction in particulate matter and significant cuts in other harmful emissions. A 9.31 per cent improvement in miles per gallon also means that drivers will now be able to travel further than when using ULSD, but with no increase in cost. At the same time, filling up with E3 will extend the life of the vehicle’s engine.
Speaking about the fuel, Managing Director Andrew Herbert said,
"Radio Taxis Group was the world’s first ground transport fleet to go CarbonNeutral®. But today we recognise that offset is not enough, the challenge is to deliver real and significant cuts in greenhouse gas emissions.
"The roll-out of this new biofuel means that we will be driving down CO2 emissions, driving down particulate emissions and, with fuel economy gains, driving down costs for our drivers."
At the launch we also unveiled our new high-visibility reflector stickers, which will be carried on the front window of all of our cabs and will make it easier for people to spot and hail a greener, cleaner taxi.
E3 is the latest phase of Radio Taxis Group’s ongoing environmental management programme, which has seen us commit to becoming CarbonNeutral®, introduce responsible vehicle purchasing programmes, and develop a new additives package to our fleets. E3 is available to all Radio Taxis Group cab drivers and is on sale at the Station Road depot.
