CarbonNeutral®

The prime cause of global warming is the build up of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. Every year London alone generates around 50 million tonnes of carbon dioxide of which almost 20% comes directly from transport.

The Radio Taxis Group is the world’s first Carbon Neutral® transport company embarking on a comprehensive programme to measure and reduce its net CO2 emissions to zero.

Climate change is clearly the most critical CSR issue for a transport company, and the group is the first major transport business to commit to cover not only the emissions produced by our offices and operations, but also to take responsibility for all emissions created by our 3.8 million passengers.

To offset the remaining unavoidable CO2 emissions, for the next three years the company is involved with projects in Methane Capture, Wind Power Generation & Energy Efficient Lighting.
